Scrimmage Thursday AWAY

This Thursday (November 30) we will be scrimmaging the team from Blessed Sacrament in Walpole. This will be our final "tune-up" for the regular season.

TIME: 5:30 PM
PLACE: Blessed Sacrament Gym, 808 East St. Walpole

DIRECTIONS: Take Route 1 South through Norwood and into East Walpole. Take a right on High Plain Street (Rte 27), and follow approximately 1 mile. Bear to the LEFT as the road then changes to East St. (but remains Rte. 27). Look for the building after about 1/2 mile.

If anyone needs a ride, I have three spaces remaining in my minivan, so call me at (781) 329-5393 to make arrangements.

Coach John Maida has requested our presence at the opening game of the Dedham High School Girls Varsity basketball season. Wear your uniform shirts and cheer the team on to victory:

Great job at the tournament, girls! It took us six hours to win as many games this year as we won all of last year. Happy Thanksgiving to all, and we will see you at the next practice - Sunday November 26, 10:30AM, at the high school.

Tournament Schedule: Saturday, November 18th

The schedule for the Norwood Basketball Jamboree has been posted, and here is when we are playing:

2:00pm vs. Bellingham @ Norwood High School
7:00pm vs. Walpole @ Coakley Middle School/Jr. High South

As with all games, plan on arriving 20-30 minutes early for warmups. A couple of things:

Since we have two games on Saturday, there will be NO PRACTICE on Sunday, November 19th.

There is NO ADDITIONAL COST for the tournament - it has been covered as part of the league registration fee.

If your daughter will be unable to attend either game, please let us know ASAP.

This year, the Metrowest site is greatly improved (MUCH easier to navigate and locate information) but we will still post everything (schedules, directions, etc.) here as well. For now, I will simply post the "raw" schedule in this post, but soon I will add a "schedule bar" to the right-menu of the screen, where you can click on any away game and get directions to the gym. All games are on Sunday, and you should plan on arriving 20-30 minutes early to the gym so we can get the girls organized and warmed up.

Also, keep in mind that Thursday practices are currently held at 6pm at the Oakdale School.
